About Us

OC Hidden Gems started out as a collaborative student project back in April 2008. As Web Design and Interactive Media students, the group's focus was shooting video on-location and compressing it and thus "streaming" it effectively for the web. After some brainstorming, the concept of showcasing the less "touristy" locations throughout Orange County was decided on and OC Hidden Gems was born.

The method of delivery in our videos consists of both narrated slide-show and "you-are-there" first-person live-action, much like something one would see on the Travel Channel or Discovery. We strongly feel that the potential behind this concept is solid and are excited about what the future holds in terms of the number of gems waiting to be discovered. There are surely many...
